Expand SS Benefits-Lift the Cap

The main way to keep Social Security solvent for years to come is to lift the current cap of taxable income, so everyone gets taxed on all of their income. That would solve the future SS payments shortage.

I also think that all of the SS offices in every community should be kept open.

Lastly, the SS Trust Fund should be preserved; no privatization of it!

Please ask your elected officials to introduce/support the: FULLERTON – EDWARDS SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY REFORM ACT Removal of the current five month waiting period for initial payment of SSDI benefits, from disability date of eligibility. Public Service Partnerships

Are there public service partnerships that SSA can leverage? o SSA provides service to citizens regarding their Social Security earnings, disability options, SNAP, SSI, etc. However, maybe we can provide more holistic information to citizens.  Are there times in people’s lives when a special SSA outreach can be triggered to help people better understand their retirement needs and how to reach their goals?
